El Dorado Broadcasters Country “Kat Country 100.7” KATJ-FM George/Victorville CA has appointed Ginny Harmon as midday host.
Harmon most recently co-hosted mornings at Audacy Country “95.1 K-Frog” KFRG Riverside from 2017 until last September after a previous stint in afternoons from 2005 to 2008. She has also hosted afternoons and nights at “Go Country 105.1” KKGO Los Angeles, Program Director of 101.3 KATY Temecula, morning co-host at 103.9 KCXX Riverside, morning co-host at 104.7 KVRY Phoenix and midday host at successor 104.7 KZZP, and midday host at 95.5 WSM-FM Nashville in her career.
El Dorado Broadcasters, owners of market-leading radio stations in Victor Valley, California, hires veteran broadcaster Ginny Harman as Midday air personality for The High Desert’s Country Station, Kat Country 100.7, KATJ-FM.
Ms. Harman began her career in Cleveland and has over 25 years on the air in markets like Nashville, Phoenix, Milwaukee, Austin and Greater Los Angeles. Ginny says, “Whether hosting a show, or flying over and reporting on a fire or accident, my love for radio never wanes!” One of the highlights of her career was meeting country legends George Jones and Johnny Cash! She loves giving back the community and involved in many charitable organizations. Having 4 cats and a love for all creatures, she is always ready to participate in events helping animals.
“I listed to Ginny when she was on the air in Phoenix and later on KFRG,” said Mark Mitchell, Vice President of Programming at El Dorado Broadcasters. “When we had the opportunity to bring in someone of her caliber for KATJ-FM, there was no hesitation.”
