iHeartMedia News/Talk 600 WMT Cedar Rapids IA Program Director Randy Lee has announced he will retire at the end of the month.
Lee has been with WMT as PD since 1989. His 46 year career has also included a nine year stint at 1600 KCRG Cedar Rapids, and stops at 800 KXIC Iowa City, 1450 KLWW Cedar Rapids. He began his career at Coe College’s now-defunct KCOE-FM Cedar Rapids.

At the end of May longtime WMT-AM Program Director and on-air personality, Randy Lee, will be retiring after a 46 year long career in broadcasting.
Lee spent the majority of his career at local iHeart Media affiliate Newsradio 600 WMT serving as Program Director for the last 32 years. Prior to WMT, Lee worked at KCRG Radio (1980-89), KXIC, and KLWW, after getting his start at KCOE, Coe College’s student run radio station.
A retirement celebration will be hosted by Camp Courageous on June 12th. “If it wasn’t for WMT, there wouldn’t be a Camp Courageous. I could never thank Randy enough for his incredible support and friendship over all his years at WMT.” says Charlie Becker, Camp Courageous Executive Director.
