Border Media Partners has sold its Rio Grande Valley cluster to MBM Radio for $2.5 Million.
The stations included are News/Talk 710 KURV Edinburg, “Fox Sports 840” KVJY Pharr, Regional Mexican “La Ley 92.7” KESO South Padre Island, “Super Tejano” 95.3 KZSP South Padre Island & 102.1 KBUC Raymondville, and Variety Hits “104.9 Jack-FM” KJAV Alamo. Border also manages four Mexican stations that cover the Rio Grande Valley market: Spanish Oldies “La Lupe” 620 XEGH/89.1 XHCAO, Spanish CHR “Digital 101.5” XHAVO, and 102.5 XHRR which duplicates the programming of 92.7 KESO. MBM will assume the management of those stations as well.
MBM Radio previously announced plans to acquire Border Media’s Laredo cluster earlier this year. Border Media retains its clusters in Austin and San Antonio.
