Update 7/10: The deal includes two parts. Cumulus is trading 97.1 WRQQ Nashville to EMF for 97.5 WLVM. EMF will then pay Cumulus $1.6 Million for the license of WDLT.
Original Report 7/9: Cumulus CHR 104.1 WABD Mobile announced this morning that it will relocate back to its “original home” of 97.5 on Sunday, July 15 at 12pm.
WABD launched on March 1 picking up the format and airstaff of 97.5 WABB-FM following that station’s sale and format change to Christian AC “K-Love” WLVM.
This move will be a three-way swap as WABD shift from 104.1 to 97.5, Urban AC 98.3 WDLT goes to 104.1, and “K-Love” from 97.5 to 98.3. All three moves will take place concurrently Sunday at 12:00pm.
Since the launch of WABD, Cumulus has acquired two additional stations that cover Mobile and Pensacola in 94.1 WMEZ and 102.7 WXBM from Pamal Broadcasting.
