Updated 12/3 with addition of call sign changes as first reported by Northeast Radio Watch.
Orginal Report 12/1: The sale of Nassau Broadcasting’s Northern New England stations to WBIN Media, Great Eastern Radio, and various third parties has closed; bringing with it a number of programming changes throughout the region.
In Portland, WBIN Media has rebranded Active Rock “106.3 The Bone” WHXR Scarborough as “Rock 106.3“.
Classical “W-Bach” 107.7 WBQI Bar Harbor goes to Blueberry Broadcasting and is now simulcasting Classic Hits “B104.7” 104.7 WBAK Belfast/Bangor as WBKA.
In New Hampshire, Sports “1230 The Score” WTSV begins simulcasting News/Talk “Pulse” 1400 WTSL Hanover/94.3 W232AP White River Junction, VT.
In Vermont, Classic Hits “Oldies 104.3” WWOD Hartford has gone silent as it prepares to move to Keeseville NY under new owner Electromagnetic Company. Former simulcast partner 96.3 WFYX Walpole NH is now simulcasting “Kool 93.9” Woodstock, which picked up the Classic Hits format two weeks ago. 93.9 has assumed the WWOD calls from 104.3, which in turn takes its former WMXR identity.
Finally, Classic Hits “107.1 Frank-FM” WORK Barre changes calls to WRFK. Nassau had intended to retain the WORK calls, but they instead have been moved to an LPTV in Nashua NH owned by same group as WBIN Media.
WBAK and WABK weren’t previously simulcasting. Have you learned that they are now? WBAK has been “Big 104 FM” while WABK has continued being a separate “104 WABK.”
Noted and corrected. It is simulcasting WBAK from what I have been told.
WWOD and WMXR have also swapped calls.. 93.9 is now WWOD. 104.3 is now WMXR.
