Variety Hits is out and Hot AC is in as Corus’ “92.5 Joe-FM” CKNG Edmonton revamped today as “92.5 Fresh-FM“.
Candadian Radio News reports the change took place at 12pm today. The move places CKNG in a more direct competition with Rawlco Radio Adult CHR “102.3 Now” CKNO and AC “Up 99.3” CIUP. CKNO leads the market with an 11.1 share in the most recent BBM report, while CIUP was eighth. The Joe-FM format was near the rear with a 3.3 share but ranked 12th out of 18 surveyed stations in Edmonton.
