DirecTV and Premiere Radio Network’s syndicated “Nick & Artie Show” is no more.
Nick DiPaolo, co-host of the show will no longer be involved when it returns from its extended hiatus on Monday, January 14. The show will be rebranded as “The Artie Lange Show” after it took an extra week off.
A brief statement on the show’s Facebook page merely states that “Nick is pursuing some great opportunities”. DiPaolo is best known as a standup comedian whose previous radio experience came from hosting a solo show on CBS’ defunct “92.3 Free-FM” in New York.
The “Nick & Artie Show” and now “Artie Lange Show” are produced by DirecTV where it airs on their “Audience Network” and distributed to radio stations by Clear Channel’s Premiere Radio Networks. Among the stations carrying the show are Cox Media’s “102.5 The Bone” WHPT Tampa and Beasley’s “96 K-Rock” WRXK Fort Myers.
