A pair of translators are seeking to enhance their signal around Los Angeles.
After having their move to near Pasadena rejected by the FCC, EMF Broadcasting has amended their application for 100.7 K264AF Guasti. The current app seeks to operate with 250 watts from a tower near West Covina, CA.
Life On The Way Communications’ 91.1 K216FM has completed its move to Valley Village with 10 watts but now has applied to move south to the tower of 93.5 KDAY near Culver City where it would operate with 5 watts. The station would change its originating station from 90.3 KMRO Camarillo, CA to 88.9 WGEN-FM Monee, IL. Both stations simulcast the programming of the Christian “Worship On The Way” Network.
With a pending application to relocate from the South Mountain tower farm to Northern Phoenix, EMF has amended its application for 96.5 K243BN Laveen, AZ to operate with a directional 250 watts from the tower used by 88.3 KNAI/KPHF. The translator will continue to rebroadcast EMF’s “Air 1” 88.9 KZAI Superior, AZ.
Family Life Ministries seeks to upgrade 104.7 W284AP Buffalo, NY from 19 to 250 watts with a change in originating station to Entercom’s 102.5 WTSS whose HD subchannel currently rebroadcasts News/Talk 930 WBEN.
Mid-Utah Radio’s silent 93.7 KUTC Richfield has applied and quickly been granted a CP to operate with 48kW at 709 meters. From the new facility the station will provide city-grade coverage to the southern parts of the Salt Lake City market including Orem and Provo.
Synergy Media’s 106.3 WKLA-FM Ludington, MI has applied to relocate to Thompsonville, MI where it will operate with 3.3kW at 133 meters allowing it to serve Traverse City. In order to retain second service to Ludington, sister 98.7 WLDN Pentwater would change city of license to Ludington with no change in operating facilities.
Townsquare Media has purchased 100.3 W262CF Pleasantville, NJ from Ted Schober for $195,000. The translator CP will rebroadcast “Talk Radio 1450 WPG” WPGG.
California Lutheran University has proposed increasing 102.3 K272DT Santa Barbara, CA from 4 to 115 watts. The translator rebroadcasts CLU’s NPR News/Talk 1340 KCLU Santa Barbara.
Three more of the FCC Auction 91 winners have applied for changes to their originally won facilities. Sunnylands Broadcasting’s 102.7 Mecca, CA has applied for 104.3 where it will operate with 6kW at 45 meters. Jackman Holding Company seeks to shift its 99.5 in Beaver, UT to 99.7 licensed to Paragonah with 6kW at -219 meters while its 100.9 Cut Bank, MT seeks to shift from a C1 to C2 with 13kW at 173 meters.
