Radio Yakima has swapped frequencies at its two AM stations.
Classic Country “1390 The Tractor” KTCR has moved to 980, while Conservative Talk “K-USA” 980 KBBO moves to 1390.
Dewey Boynton, OM of Radio Yakima, tells the Yakima Herald that the move was made to give the Tractor “better sound quality”. 980 operates with 5kW day and 500 watts night, while 1390 runs 5kW day and 390 watts night.
