Adams Radio Group has made its first major move since closing on its Las Cruces cluster a few weeks ago.
Talk/Sports 570 KSNM Las Cruces relaunched as “Classic Country 570” on January 1. The move was made to give a flanker to sister Country 103.9 KGRT.
The station will feature retain its local talk show, “Let’s Talk Las Cruces”, but will trim it from three hours to one, running from 12-1pm daily.

Starting today at 6am, KSNM 570 became CLASSIC COUNTRY 570. Veronica Test, Market Manger, says,” This exciting format change is filling a void our listeners have been requesting for quite some time.” Ernesto Garcia, Operations Manger, says, “I really think everyone will enjoy the format returning to the airwaves on 570 AM after a break of 13 years.”
CLASSIC COUNTRY 570 is the only station in Southern New Mexico & West Texas that brings you the best in American Music. CLASSIC COUNTRY 570 will feature the biggest country songs and artists from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. The listener will hear core artists such as George Strait, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and more.The on-air personalities know country music and engage listeners through contests, requests, and daily features.
CLASSIC COUNTRY 570 will still be your home for the NFL, High School Sports from the Bulldawg, Trojan, Hawk and Knight Radio Network, and NMSU Men’s & Women’s Sports.
CLASSIC COUNTRY 570 will continue to bring you News at the top of the hour along with national stories from FOX News and local news from award-winning newsman Jack Nixon. Newsbreak New Mexico will be heard at the bottom of the hour with statewide news.
CLASSIC COUNTRY 570 also lets our community have a voice every weekday at Noon with “Let’s Talk Las Cruces.” Once a daily three-hour show, the community talk show will now be heard for one hour on at Noon on the station.
Until current contract obligations are finished, CLASSSIC COUNTRY 570 will continue to run some existing weekend programming and FOX Sports in the evening and overnight hours.
