Brian Thomas is joining Cumulus as Corporate Program Director and PD of Country “94.7 Nash-FM” WNSH New York.
Thomas most recently served as National Vice President of Classic Hits programming and PD of Country 99.5 WQYK and Classic Hits “Q105” 104.7 WRBQ in Tampa for CBS. Prior to that he programmed 101.1 WCBS-FM (and was involved in their return from Variety Hits “JackFM“) and “Fresh 102.7” WWFS New York. At WNSH he succeeds John Foxx, who will remain as PD of sister Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ. Thomas will help oversee multiple formats for Cumulus including Classic Hits.
Cumulus Media announces that Brian Thomas joins the company as Corporate Program Director and as Program Director of NASH FM New York. Thomas comes to Cumulus from CBS, where he was most recently National Vice President of Classic Hits programming, Program Director of Country-formatted WQYK and Classic Hits WRBQ, and Vice President of Programming in Tampa. In his new position as Corporate Program Director at Cumulus, Thomas will focus on several formats, including Classic Hits. He will be based in New York City. This is a return to New York for Brian, as prior to his move to Tampa he programmed WCBS-FM, JACK-FM and WWFS/FRESH into the top 10 in New York City.
