Vista Radio is consolidating the bulk of its radio stations under four core brands.
To make the consolidations possible, the following flips have taken place over the past few weeks:
- On May 30, AAA “103.5 The Bridge” CHNV Nelson, BC flipped to Variety Hits “Juice-FM“
- On May 30, Active Rock “94X” CIRX Prince George, BC rebranded as “The Goat“.
- On May 30, Active Rock “98.9 Jet-FM” CFCP Courtenay, BC rebranded as “The Goat“
- On May 26, Hot AC “92.9 Moose-FM” CKJN Caledonia, ON flipped to Country “Country 92.9“.
- On May 23, Hot AC “97.5 Rush-FM” CFFM Williams Lake, BC flipped to Active Rock “The Goat“
- On May 21, Hot AC “Mix 100” CJCD Yellowknife, NT rebranded as “Moose-FM“
Canadian Radio News reports the moves come as Vista prepares to consolidate their stations under five core brands: Active Rock “The Goat“, Country “Country FM“, Variety Hits “Juice FM“, Hot AC or Classic Hits “Moose FM“, and a fifth unknown brands (perhaps the CHR “2Day-FM” launched in Niagara Falls last fall?)
As of right now 26 of the 40 stations listed on Vista’s corporate website have flipped to one of the four core brands.
