Steve Kingston’s Cortana Media has sold Hot AC 105.5 WYRE-FM St. Augustine to Air Augustine for $700,000.
The new ownership group is made up of three people with radio experience. David Mitchell will serve as President of the Company with a 55% share. Mitchell is based in the Charlottesville, VA region where he once owned 107.5 WUMX (Now News/Talk WCHV-FM). Joseph Riley, owner of four stations in the Albany, NY area holds a 30% stake. Former 98.7 KLUV Dallas Program Director Peter Zolnowski has 15% of the company.
Kingston, best know for his long programming career at stations including “Z100” WHTZ and “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York, retains majority ownership in AAA 103.1 WRNR-FM Grasonville, MD.
