FCC Update Translator Construction Permit ApplicationsCalvary Chapel of Costa Mesa has amended its application for 96.9 K245AI San Pasqual, CA to relocate to San Diego with 250 watts at 560 meters rebroadcasting Univision’s 102.9 KLQV (Coverage Map).

Reach Communications 92.1 W221CE Wesley Chapel South, FL applies to shift to 102.9 with 250 watts at 58 meters. Rebroadcasting a subchannel of Clear Channel’s 100.7 WMTX, W221CE will cover parts of Tampa and South Tampa (Coverage Map).

Edgewater Broadcasting’s 100.1 W261BX Birmingham seeks a modification to 35 watts at 347 meters rebroadcasting Summit Media’s 104.7 WZZK (Coverage Map).

Clear Channel’s CP for 96.5 K243CA Millman, IA proposes a modification to 102 watts at 110 meters from downtown Des Moines rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of sister 106.3 KDXA Ankeny (Coverage Map).

Cromwell Broadcasting’s CP for 95.1 W236CI Shelbyville, TN seeks to shift to Murfreesboro with 250 watts at 82 meters rebroadcasting 102.9 WBUZ-HD3 La Vergne (Coverage Map). The translator will air the Gospel “The Light” programming also currently heard on 101.9 W270BK Clarksville and 102.1 W271AB Nashville.

Connor Media’s 100.7 W264CU Hickory, NC seeks to relocate east to Statesville to rebroadcast Iredell Broadcasting’s 1400 WSIC Statesville. W264CU will operate with 250 watts at 105 meters (Coverage Map).

Educational Media Foundation’s CP for 106.5 W293CA Flint, MI applies to increase to 250 watts at 780 meters rebroadcasting Christian Broadcasting Systems 600 WSNL Flint (Coverage Map).

Southeast of Houston, Iglesia Evangelica Apostles y Profetas Nazareth’s 104.7 K284BX Hitchcock, TX applies to shift to 104.5 in Alvin with 250 watts at 331 meters rebroadcasting 89.9 KQVI-FM Cedar Lake (Coverage Map).

After having their displacement application to relocate 99.1 W256BZ Alexander City, AL to 100.5 dismissed, Alabama Christian Radio has applied to move it to 99.7 with 250 watts at 75 meters rebroadcasting Southern Gospel 1050 WBNM Alexander City (Coverage Map).

Jeffrey Jennings’ 103.1 K276DA Cedar City, UT applies to relocate to 92.5 with 250 watts at 242 meters rebroadcasting 88.9 KCHG Cedar City (Coverage Map).

Dixie State University’s 106.5 K293AF Enterprise, UT was granted a CP to relocate to 105.9 and immediately applied to relocate to 105.5 with 35 watts at 1088 meters rebroadcasting 106.1 KXFF Colorado City, AZ (Coverage Map).

Central Florida Educational Foundation’s CP for 102.9 W275BZ New Smyrna Beach, FL applies to move slightly northward between New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach with 27 watts at 85 meters rebroadcasting sister “Z88.3” WPOZ Union Park/Orlando (Coverage Map).

Translator Sales

Central Florida Educational Foundation acquired 93.3 W227CP Orlando from Cornerstone Community Radio for $120,000. The CP is licensed to operate with 38 watts at 61.2 meters rebroadcasting an HD subchannel of Central Florida Educational Foundation’s 88.3 WPOZ Union Park (Coverage Map).

Fordham University sells 94.5 W233BM Beacon, NY to Sunrise Broadcasting. The sale price has been omitted from FCC filing, but the translator will immediately convert from rebroadcasting Fordham’s 90.7 WFUV New York to Sunrise’s “Fox Oldies 98.9” via 103.1 WJGK-HD3 Newburgh.

American General Media has purchased the CP for 95.9 K240EE Bakersfield, CA from Educational Media Foundation for $25,000. Just like last week’s purchase of 106.9 K295AZ Buttonwillow, the translator will rebroadcast News/Talk 1180 KERN Wasco-Greenacres.

Nebraska Rural Radio Association acquires 98.3 K252EG Norfolk, NE from Angus Dei Communications for $25,000.

Station Sales

Spanish Cultural Communications has sold Spanish Variety 89.1 WNZN Lorain, OH to Pace Foundation for $280,000. Pace describes itself on its application as “Bible teaching directed to day-to-day relationships within families and out local community. Of particular concern is abuse of alcohol and drugs, child and spousal abuse, divorce and teen pregnancy. Looking at such social issues from a religious perspective will help strengthen individuals to make the proper choices, deal with stressful or unfortunate occurrences and in addition, approach themselves and others in a moral and mutually-beneficial way.”

Tri-County Broadcasting acquires Classic Country 105.9 WBZR-FM Atmore, AL from Gulf Coast Broadcasting for $130,000. Tri-County also owns 105.1 WPFL Century, FL.

WHSL, LLC acquires Country 107.7 WHSL Lisman, AL from Leap of Faith, LLC for $10,000.

Howard Henderson sells 1450 KDAP Douglas, AZ to Alex Goodman for $55,000. Henderson will retain 930 KAPR and 96.5 KDAP-FM in Douglas.

HRN Broadcasting has sold “Magic Oldies 1050” WLON Lincolnton and 1590 WCSL Cherryville, NC to KTC Broadcasting for $240,000. KTC has been operating both stations via Time Brokerage Agreement.

Hmong Radio Broadcast acquires “Real Country 1590” WIXK New Richmond, WI/Minneapolis from Zoe Communications for $125,000.

Radio Pan De Vida sells 1560 KIQS Willows, CA to Tom Huth for $1, forgiveness of $150,000 of debt from their purchase of the station from Huth, and $29,600 towards waiving their Time Brokerage Agreement fees for 1450 KOBO Yuba City, CA between July 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015.
