Update 10/22: WQBU made its flip to Regional Mexican “92.7 Nueva York” at 12am this morning.
Among the programs the station will carry are “El Show de Raul Brindis” from 6-8am based at KLTN Houston and the KSCA Los Angeles based “http://buenomalafeo.univision.com/” from 8am to 1pm daily.
Original Report 10/19: Just months after shifting to the “Univision America” Spanish News/Talk network, 92.7 WQBU Garden City/New York is returning to a music format.
WQBU will shortly flip to Regional Mexican “92.7 Nueva York“; matching the new branding system used by the company’s Regional Mexican stations across the country. WQBU previously featured a similar format as “Que Buena 92.7” from 2007 until November 2012.
The station had shifted to the Univision America network programming on March 31 of this year, but has barely made a peep in the ratings as it registered a mere 0.1 share of the audience in the September 2014 Nielsen Audio ratings.
