Original Report 11/13: Hubbard Broadcasting has announced the acquisition of the sixteen stations in Northern and Central Minnesota currently owned by Lou Buron and Mary Campbell’s Omni Broadcasting.
Also known as Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, the stations involved in the purchase are located in the Alexandria, Brainerd, Bemidji, and Wadena markets in Minnesota. The stations are:
Hubbard already owns KSAX-TV 42 in Alexandria, which operates as a satellite rebroadcaster of sister KSTP-TV 5 Minneapolis. Hubbard currently owns radio stations in Chicago, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Seattle, St. Louis, and Washington DC. Hubbard states that it intends to add 100 employees through the purchase and does not expect any programming or personnel changes.
