Shortly after the launch of the station as “92.1 The Ticket“, WQTX changed its branding to “The Team“.
Why the change? CBS Sports “97.1 The Ticket” WXYT-FM Detroit has the Michigan trademark for the Ticket name. No changes to the new programming format with the change in name from Ticket to Team.
Original Report 1/13: Midwest has officially announced the coming launch of “92.1 The Ticket” on Monday, January 19.
WQTX will feature nine hours of local programming daily along with Dan Patrick and other Fox Sports Radio programming. The Ticket will also carry Lansing Lugnuts baseball, University of Michigan basketball and football, and high school sports.
The Ticket’s daily lineup will feature:
6-9am: Michigan’s Big Show with Michael Patrick Shiels
9am-12pm: The Dan Patrick Show
12-1pm: Michigan Business Rap
1-3pm: The Griff and Grinz Show (Mike Griffith and Steve Grinczel)
3-6pm: The Drive with Jack Ebling
6pm-6am: Fox Sports Radio
Original Report 1/9: Midwest Communications Country “92.1 Big Country” WQTX St. Johns/Lansing, MI will be returning to Sports under its previous “92.1 The Ticket” identity.
Jack Ebling, former afternoon host at Townsquare Media’s “730 The Game” WVFN has announced he will debut on 92.1 on Monday, January 19.
WQTX previously was “92.1 The Ticket” from July 2004 until March 2006. The station continues to air a large number of local Sports play-by-play from high schools and Lansing Lugnuts baseball.
