Station Moves
Two of iHeartMedia’s Chicago FM stations are swapping their primary and auxiliary antennas on the John Hancock Tower. Country “Big 95.5” WEBG Chicago will shift from 8.3kW at 358 meters to 5.3kW at 425 meters, while Urban AC “V103” 102.7 WVAZ Oak Park will move from 6kW at 357 meters to 3.8kW at 425 meters. Neither station will see any changes in their predicted coverage areas.
Renard Communications Classic Hits “The Dinosaur” 103.9 WNDR-FM Mexico/Syracuse, NY held a CP to increase from a Class A to Class C3 that expired last year due to the tower site no longer being available. Now after procuring a new location, WNDR-FM has once again filed to make its upgrade and operate with 18.7kW at 114 meters (Coverage Map).
Seven Mountains Media has applied to relocate two of its newly acquired Pennsylvania stations to a new location. Country 92.5 WJUN Mexico and Hot AC “Merf 95.7” WMRF-FM Lewistown will both operate with 310 watts at 433 meters (WJUN Coverage Map) (WMRF-FM Coverage Map).
Kona Coast Radio’s Silent 93.7 KIIQ Limon, CO applies to upgrade from a Class A to C2 licensed to Deer Trail. KIIQ would operate with 25.5kW at 212 meters (Coverage Map). The move is contingent on the FCC removing Kona Coast’s 92.3 KDAB Hugo’s expired CP to move to 93.7.
New England Public Radio’s 98.9 WNNI Adams, MA applies to move to an adjacent tower with an increase in power and height to 1.45kW at 158.8 meters (Coverage Map).
Robert Rose’s pending acquisition of the CP for 94.1 KZOC Bourbon, MO seeks a new tower site where it will operate with 2.53kW at 109 meters (Coverage Map).
After preventing its CP to expire with temporary 100 watt at 20 meter facilities, Arkansas County Broadcasters’ 104.1 KBRI Clarendon, AR applies to operate as a C3 with 17.5kW at 119 meters (Coverage Map).
A week after its application to relocate to near Utica, NY via STA was dismissed, Northeast Gospel Broadcasting’s 88.1 WVVC-FM Dolgeville, NY applies to relocate to near Little Falls with 150 watts at 206 meters (Coverage Map).
After a Kickstarter campaign we highlighted on RadioInsight, Taos Adventures’ 93.5 KNCE Taos, NM has applied to triple power from 1 to 3kW, while relocating to a new tower .41km from its current location where it will operate from -192 meters above average terrain (Coverage Map).
