Entercom is promoting from within to fill programming vacancies in three markets.
With the closing of its acquisition of Lincoln Financial Media, Tony Lorino is heading from “99.7 The Point” KZPT Kansas City to take over the PD reigns at newly acquired “Star 94” WSTR Atlanta. Lincoln Financial Media VP/Programming John Dimick had been programming WSTR since the exit of Scott Lindy in March. With the demise of Lincoln Financial Media, Dimick is retiring from radio to purchase an auto repair business in Atlanta.
Replacing Lorino in Kansas City is Leigh McNabb. She joins KZPT from Milwaukee where she has been APD/Midday host at CHR “103.7 Kiss-FM” WXSS. The Des Moines native also worked in Champaign and Rockford prior to joining WXSS sister 99.1 WMYX Milwaukee in 2009. She has been voicetracking Middays at KZPT since the beginning of this year.
Nikki Nite is returning to Austin. Nite, who programmed Hot AC “Mix 94.7” KAMX from 2009 until 2012 when she transferred to Sacramento to oversee Hot AC “Star 106.5” KUDL and CHR “107.9 The End” KDND, will be returning to Austin as VP of Programming and Operations overseeing the company’s four stations in the market. She replaces Cat Thomas who announced his resignation last week.
