WZNZ Jacksonville Rebrands As Talk 100.3

Delmarva Education Association has relaunched Business “100.3 The Biz” 1600 WZNZ Atlantic Beach/100.3 W262AG Jacksonville FL as “Talk 100.3“. The rebranding follows the addition of Conservative Talkers Hugh Hewitt and Laura Ingraham to the station’s mix of brokered advice shows, business news and Dave Ramsey. It serves as a flanker to sister Conservative Talk 600 WBOB/101.1 W266CX.

100.3 The Biz Debuts As Answer Moves In Jacksonville

atWith the move of Conservative Talk “The Answer” 600 WBOB Jacksonville’s translator to 101.1 W266CX, Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting has launched Business “100.3 The Biz” on 100.3 W262AG Jacksonville and Queen of Peace Radio’s 1600 WZNZ Atlantic Beach FL. The new format currently features Bloomberg programming with the exception of On Call w/ Asa Andrew from 9pm-1am weekdays. With the move of WBOB to 101.1, the station has also made a programming change as the station picks up Mike Gallagher for 9am-12pm and moves Laura Ingraham from that timeslot to 9pm-12am. WZNZ had been originating the programming for Chesapeake-Portsmouth Oldies “102.3 The Beach” W272CQ. That translator is now fed by iHeartMedia’s 101.5 WSOL-HD2 Brunswick GA.

Jacksonville’s Answer Gets Promised FM Signal Upgrade

Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting has broken up the simulcast of Christian AC “The Promise” 94.1 WSOS-FM Fruit Cove FL and 100.7 WMUV Brunswick GA. While the Promise programming remains on 100.7, 94.1 has flipped to a simulcast of sister Conservative Talk “AM600 The Answer” WBOB/100.3 WW262AG Jacksonville. The move upgrades WBOB’s FM signal from the 250 watt translator to the 5.5kW Class C3 signal of 94.1. A new format will debut on the 100.3 translator following a transitional phase to move the audience to the new signal. Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting acquired 94.1 and 100.7 in October 2014 from Renda Broadcasting for $3.7 million and moved the Promise format from 91.7 WTRJ-FM Orange Park in January 2015.

Two Translators Launch In Jacksonville

A pair of Jacksonville AM’s have launched FM translators. Queen Of Peace Radio Oldies “1600 The Beach” WZNZ Atlantic Beach has added an FM signal on 102.3 as W271AP Jacksonville has completed its relocation from 102.1 and power increase to 99 watts at 270 meters (Coverage Map). WZNZ runs programming from WestwoodOne’s new Good Time Oldies network. Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting Conservative Talk 600 WBOB Jacksonville is now airing on 100.3 W262AG Orange Park. W262AG operates with 228 watts at 270 meters (Coverage Map). To make the upgrade of W271AP possible, Phillips Broadcasting has completed the move of 102.3 W272CT St. Augustine to 102.1.
