After its Urban “Beat” format and branding was moved to 107.3 WRGV Pensacola in December, iHeartMedia has finally launched a new format on 100.3 W262BL/99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile AL. W262BL flipped to Gospel “Hallelujah 100.3” this morning. The new format gives an FM competitor to Cumulus’ 900 WGOK Mobile and Eternity Media Group’s 1220 WERM Fairhope.
iHeartMedia has flipped CHR “107.3 Kiss-FM” WRGV Pensacola FL to Urban “107.3 The Beat“. WRGV assumes the programming and branding of 100.3 W262BL/99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile AL as the station covers both markets. W262BL registered a 1.5 share in the Mobile market in the Summer 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings, while Cumulus Media’s competing Urban 92.9 WBLX was second overall with a 11.2 share. WRGV registered a 2.5 share in the Spring 2017 ratings in the Pensacola market and now leaves Cumulus’ 97.5 WABD Mobile as the only CHR in either market.
After weeks of stunting with multiple iHeartRadio streams, iHeartMedia has launched Urban “100.3 The Beat” W262BL/99.9 WMXC-HD2 Mobile. Launching with 10,000 songs in a row commercial free, the new format takes on Cumulus’ market leading 92.9 WBLX.
