Station Sales Q Broadcasting is adding a second station in Tampa with the purchase of Silent 1110 WTIS Tampa and 101.1 W266CW St. Petersburg from WTIS-AM Inc. in a pair of transactions. In the first WTIS-AM Inc. will donate the assets of 1110 WTIS at no cost. In the second Q will pay $175,000 for W266CW. Q Broadcasting already owns Regional Mexican “La Ley 1550” WAMA Tampa and stations in Orlando and West Palm Beach. Larry Steckline’s LS Media is selling their controlling 85% stake in Country “US 107.9” KWLS Winfield/Wichita KS to 15% owner Giddyup Radio for $2.55 million. WOWZ To Wow Eastern Shore

GSB Broadcasting has signed-on 101.5 WOWZ Chincoteague VA and is currently stunting with Smooth Jazz. The station will debut its permanent format on Tuesday, August 30 at 10:00am as Country “Wow 101.5“. Promoting core artists as George Strait, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood, Travis Tritt, Luke Bryan, Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, the station is claiming a 4000 song playlist. Greg Fentress will move over from sister Variety Hits “92.5/96.5 CTG” WICO-FM Pocomoke City MD/96.5 WCTG Chincoteague VA for mornings. WCTG afternoon host Skip Dixon will add middays on WOWZ and WCTG morning co-host Adam Riggin will host afternoons.
