FCC Applications 11/19: EMF Expanding In San Francisco

Educational Media Foundation is making moves to increase its coverage in San Francisco. EMF has applied to relocate Christian AC “K-Love” 107.3 KLVS Livermore from 8.1kW at 491 meters to 880 watts at 894 meters while moving 7 miles closer to the San Francisco Bay. EMF also has Construction Permits for on-channel boosters operating with 320 watts in Oakland, 5kW in Hayward, and 1kW in Concord. EMF has also been granted a translator, 104.1 K281BU San Francisco operating with 10 watts at 457.6 meters from the tower site of 96.5 KOIT and 104.5 KFOG in downtown San Francisco. With Life On The Way Communications applying to relocate 91.1 K216FM Valley Village, CA southward within Los Angeles to a tower near Culver City, 91.9 K220HC Sun Valley is now applying to relocate to K216FM’s currently licensed site in the Hollywood Hills where it will operate with 10 watts. Clear Channel continues its slow move of 94.3 W232CB Frederick, MD towards Washington DC. After completing its previous move, the translator has applied to relocate to a tower off of I-370 between Gaithersburg and Rockville with 235 watts. Common Frequency, Inc. has applied to move silent 91.1 KXRY Portland to 101.5. The Class D had been bumped from 97.9 (then KRRC) to 91.1 by the move-in of 97.9 KXPC into the market.
