After just nine months as Program Director at Cox Media Group CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa, John E. Kage is returning to Denver as Program Director of Bonneville Country 98.5 KYGO. The move reunites Kage with Bonneville Denver VP/Market Manager Bob Call for whom he served as Program Director of Lincoln Financial Media’s Rhythmic CHR “KS 107.5” KQKS and “Comedy 103.1” KYGO-HD2 from 2008 until leaving for Tampa when Entercom took over those stations last Fall. He has also worked as APD/MD at 102.5 KSFM Sacramento, and on-air in Albuquerque, St. Cloud, Salisbury, and Grand Forks during his career. Kage succeeds Eddie Haskell, who exited KYGO in August.
Cox Media CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa has filled its vacant morning opening with the addition of Miguel Fuller and Holly O’Connor from “Island 106” WILN Panama City. “The Miguel Show” will debut on Monday, March 30 and fills the opening created by Jayde Donovan’s move to WPLJ New York at the end of 2014. It is a return to Tampa mornings for the duo who previously co-hosted with “That Guy Kramer” on CBS’ defunct Hot AC “Play 98.7” WSJT in 2011 and 2012. 95.5 WPLJ New York is relaunching its morning show yet again. Jayde Donovan will join the station as co-host of “Todd and Jayde (In the Morning)”. Donovan joins WPLJ from Cox CHR “Hot 101.5” WPOI Tampa where she hosted “Hot Mornings with Jayde”. In addition to multiple television jobs, Donovan began her career co-hosting mornings at “XL106.7” WXXL Orlando. WPLJ had just relaunched its morning show in February when Scott Shannon exited and then joined Classic Hits 101.1 WCBS-FM. Todd Pettengill moved up to lead “The Todd Show”. Cox flipped 80’s/90s “101.5 The Point” WPOI Tampa to CHR as “Hot 101.5” at 11am today directly calling out WFLZ just as it did to other when it launched as The Power Pig. Hot becomes the 4th CHR in the Tampa Bay market joining WFLZ, and CBS’ tandem of Rhythmic CHR “WIld 94.1” WLLD and Adult CHR “Play 98.7” WSJT.
