Tom Cook Joins Entercom Baltimore As Director of Music Programming

After exiting his position as Regional Operations Manager for Townsquare Media Michigan and PD of Hot AC “Mix 95.7” WLHT and AC “100.5 The River” WTRV Grand Rapids earlier this week, Tom Cook is joining Entercom as Director of Music Programming for its Baltimore cluster. Cook will oversee AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF and Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX. Before joining Townsquare Grand Rapids in 2011, Cook previously held programming positions in Madison, Philadelphia, Toledo, and Wichita. David LaBrozzi Joins 95.5 WPLJ New York As Program Director

Entercom Baltimore VP/Programming David LaBrozzi is joining Cumulus Media Hot AC 95.5 WPLJ New York as Program Director. LaBrozzi has overseen the former CBS Radio cluster in Baltimore since 2004 including AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF and Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX. He previously served as VP/Programming for Clear Channel Pittsburgh and programmed in Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, and Nashville. He fills the opening created by Rick Gillette’s exit in January. CBS Radio has promoted Baltimore VP/Director of Sales Tracy Brandys to Senior Vice President/Market Manager for the company’s four station cluster of AC “Today’s 101.9” WLIF, Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM, Hot AC “Mix 106.5” WWMX, and Sports “CBS Sports Radio 1300” WJZ. Brandys succeeds Bob Phillips, who recently transferred to CBS Radio’s corporate offices in New York as Chief Revenue Officer. Bob Phillips Named CBS Radio Chief Revenue Officer

CBS Radio has promoted Baltimore market manager and SVP/Sales Bob Phillips to the newly created role of Chief Revenue Officer. Phillips will be based in New York and be responsible for leading all aspects of revenue generation for the company at the corporate, regional, and local levels. Phillips has spent most of his career in Baltimore working for United Broadcasting, Sconnix Broadcasting, and American Radio Systems into its acquisition by CBS where he rose to GSM and then GM of Oldies 105.7 WQSR before being named Market Manager for the cluster in 2000. WLIF Rebrands Today

The evolution of the AC format nationwide continues with yet another station ditching its heritage brand in its quest to refresh its identity for a new generation of listeners. The recipient today of a new brand was CBS’ “101.9 Lite-FM” WLIF Baltimore which is now “Today’s 101.9“. WLIF had been phasing in the new identity for a few months now attached to the Lite moniker, which has now been retired. WLIF follows fellow CBS AC’s in Cleveland, Dallas, and St. Louis that have rebranded over the past few years.
