Rock Hits Max 102 Debuts In Wilkes-Barre

Entercom launched Rock AC “Max 102” at 7:00 this morning. Focusing on Rock Hits of the 80s and 90s, the station listed Bon Jovi, Dave Matthews Band, Def Leppard, Journey, Pat Benatar, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Sheryl Crow as core artists. New WMQX call letters are incoming. Mountain Wilkes-Barre Headed To Sports Flip

Update 7/23: WDMT will flip to Sports as “102 The Sports Hub” on Monday, August 5. The new format will rely mainly on programming from NBC Sports Radio as well as a yet to be announced local afternoon show. In announcing the change, Entercom Wilkes-Barre GM Ryan Flynn told the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, “We haven’t been able to capitalize on The Mountain from a sales perspective.
