Townsquare Media has flipped “Kalamazoo Country 102.5” W273AR Paw Paw/103.3 WKFR-HD2 Battle Creek MI to Classic Hits “K102.5“. The move gives Kalamazoo an in-market Classic Hits station to go up against Forum Communications rimshot “Cool 101” 100.9 WQXC-FM Allegan. W273AR had a 0.9 share of the Kalamazoo market in the Fall 2016 Nielsen ratings down from a 1.7 in the Spring and as high as a 2.9 in Fall 2014.

Great Country Comes To Kalamazoo

Cumulus extends its new 90’s to now “Great Country” brand to Kalamazoo, MI as translator 102.5 W273AR Paw Paw signs on as “Great Country 102.5” with 10,000 songs in a row. W273AR operates with 250 watts and is fed by 103.3 WKFR-HD2. Its projected coverage covers all of greater Kalamazoo. Strategically the station will serve two goals. WKFR currently leads the market with a 13.7 share. Second ranked is Clear Channel Country “B93” WBCT Grand Rapids with its massive 320kW signal.
