Jeff Kurkjian & Aimee Montgomery To Host Mornings On 102.7 The Coyote Las Vegas

Beasley Media Country “102.7 The Coyote” KCYE Boulder City/Las Vegas has announced Jeff Kurkjian & Aimee Montgomery will take over their morning show starting Monday, March 12. Kurkjian most recently hosted mornings at Entercom Hot AC “Q104” 104.1 WQAL Cleveland until his departure last month. Montgomery moves from middays at sister Soft AC “101.5 Lite-FM” K268CS Las Vegas/KCYE-HD2. The duo replaces Mike ‘Mad Dog’ West, who had been hosting mornings solo since the exit of PD/Morning host Kris Daniels last year. Beasley Appoints Dennis Gwiazdon Las Vegas Market Manager

Beasley Media has appointed Dennis Gwiazdon as its new Vice President/Market Manager for its Las Vegas properties. Gwiazdon joins Beasley from Midwest Communications where he had overseen their Nashville properties since 2001. He has also served as VP/GM for Nationwide Communications in San Diego and Brown Broadcasting in San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Seattle as well as President of Sales Insights for Coleman Insights. Beasley Media Country “102.7 The Coyote” KCYE Boulder City/Las Vegas has appointed Shawn Stevens as its new Program Director. Stevens spent the last two decades in Salt Lake City programming first AC “B98.7” KBEE and Country 101.9 KKAT until moving to Country “K-Bull 93” KUBL from April 2012 until his exit last July. Following the resignation of Kris Daniels as Program Director in July to focus on her morning show, the station has announced that Daniels will resume the PD role. She will continue to co-host “Kris & The Mad Dog” with Mike ‘Mad Dog’ West. APD/Afternoon host Todd Michaels exits the station and is replaced by Emmanuel ‘Ransom’ Garcia as Music Director/Afternoon Host. Following the conclusion of the National Finals Rodeo, Beasley is launching another microformat on 102.7 KCYE Boulder City/Las Vegas NV. KCYE is now airing Christmas music as “102.7 Santa FM“. The station is mixing Christmas songs from Country artists along with the traditional songs. The station dropped its Country “102.7 The Coyote” moniker on November 30 for the Rodeo Radio programming. Beasley Sells Two In Las Vegas

Beasley Broadcasting has sold 790 KBET and 104.3 KCYE Las Vegas to Silver State Communications for $15.25 Million. As part of the deal, 104.3’s KCYE calls and “Coyote Country” branding will move to 102.7, currently the home of CHR KFRH “102.7 Now“. KBET has begun shifting from Classic Country to Sports as it has added a local midday talk show and Los Angeles Dodgers baseball.

Update 7:35pm: The flip to CHR occurred at 4:33pm PDT as KFRH became “102.7 Now” with Akon’s “Right Now (Na Na Na)”. The station is taking a page out of CBS’ own playbook in New York and Los Angeles by going right after CBS’ 98.5 KLUC and Kemp Broadcasting’s “Hot 97.5” KVEG. The final song on Star 102.7 was “Come On Feel The Noise” by Quiet Riot, a nod to the station’s tenure as All 80’s.
