Triad Broadcasting Classic Country 1290 WIRL Peoria, IL will begin airing on 102.7 W274BM giving the station an FM outlet in the market. The move will be accompanied with a flip on Friday, March 15 to Oldies. The 102.7 translator has just completed an upgrade to 115 watts following its purchase by Triad last summer. WIRL is one of the Triad Broadcasting stations that is in the process of being sold to Larry Wilson’s L&L Broadcasting.
Larry Wilson, the former founder and CRO of Citadel Broadcasting who operates Alpha Broadcasting in Portland, has acquired Triad Broadcasting for $21 Million.
