iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles has realigned its on-air lineup. Alex Gervasi has moved from late nights to the 10am-2pm midday slot replacing Letty B, who moves to overnights from 2-5am and weekends. Letty B will continue with her other voicetracking assignments including middays at CHR “Channel 93.3” KHTS-FM San Diego. Moving into the 10pm-2am late night slot is Edris ‘EJ’ Jenkins, who relocates to Los Angeles from nights at Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas where he had been hosting nights and will continue to do so from Los Angeles.
iHeartMedia Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas has appointed Freddy Rivera as its new afternoon host. Rivera takes the spot held since June 2017 by Mike Kannon who apparently has exited as all references to him have been purged from the station’s digital assets. iHeartMedia announced today that Freddy Rivera has been named Afternoon Drive Host for 102.9 Now, Dallas/Ft. Worth’s Variety from 90’s to Now, effective February 5. Freddy Rivera will broadcast weekdays from 2 – 7 p.m. Rivera’s afternoon show will discuss the latest entertainment news and trends in pop culture. Listene...[Read More]
iHeartMedia Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas has appointed Kannon to host afternoons. Clear Channel Adult CHR “102.9 Now” KDMX Dallas will add the syndicated Bert Show for mornings beginning Tuesday, January 21. Distributed by Kidd Kraddick’s Yea Networks, KDMX will become the third Top 10 market affiliate for the show joining flagship “Q100” WWWQ Atlanta and “All The Hits 107.3” WRQX Washington. It also becomes the first Clear Channel owned station to pick up the show. The addition of Bert allows Yea and Clear Channel to flank Kraddick on CHR “106.1 Kiss-FM” KHKS with Bert on KDMX and keep both shows in the family. The Bert Show fills the hole at KDMX left by Jagger’s move to sister Alternative “102.1 The Edge” KDGE earlier this month.
After departing Clear Channel Alternative “102.1 The Edge” KDGE Dallas in 2006, Chris Jagger, Jasmine, Mondo & Dean are returning to the station on Monday, January 6. The “Jagger Mafia” had been at KDGE from 1998 until 2006. The show then moved across town to CBS’ 105.3 through multiple iterations of Hot Talk and Sports until 2011. Since April 2012, Jagger has been co-hosting mornings at Clear Channel Hot AC “102.9 Now” KDMX with Tara Ward. No word yet on who replaces Jagger at KDMX or the status of current KDGE morning host Angela Chase.
Clear Channel Hot AC “Mix 102.9” KDMX Dallas has finished its evolution to Adult CHR as it rebrands as “102.9 NOW“. There are very little gold tracks left in the KDMX playlist which is now virtually all current/recurrent. The name change also brings a lineup shift. Chris Jagger, most recently at CBS Sports “105.3 The Fan” KRLD-FM, joins the station for mornings where he will be teamed with current middayer Tara. The pair replace Sean Valentine’s syndicated program.
