People Moves 4/25: Job Duty Shuffle For iHeartMedia Phoenix/Tucson

iHeartMedia is shuffling duties for three Phoenix and Tucson staffers. Reid Spivey moves from APD/Afternoon Host of Hot AC “Mix 96.9” KMXP and APD of CHR “104.7 Kiss-FM” KZZP Phoenix to APD/Afternoon Host at Country 102.5 KNIX Phoenix. Entercom LMA’s Sacramento & San Francisco Stations To Bonneville

Bonneville International will LMA Entercom’s required spin-offs in Sacramento and San Francisco. Bonneville International will gain control of four of CBS’ five stations in Sacramento: AC “Mix 96” 96.1 KYMX, Hot AC “Now 100.5” KZZO, “New Country 105.1” KNCI, and “Sports 1140” KHTK. Bonneville also will operate four stations in San Francisco: CBS Radio CHR “99.7 Now” KMVQ and Entercom AC 96.5 KOIT, Classic Rock “98.5 K-Fox” KUFX, and Urban AC 102.9 KBLX. Entercom Narrows Down 16 Stations To Be Divested To Complete CBS Radio Merger

In order to complete its merger with CBS Radio, Entercom has agreed to divest sixteen stations in order to ensure regulatory approval. In a memo sent to CBS Radio employees CEO Andre Fernandez revealed that the following stations will be divested: Boston: CBS Radio’s News/Talk 1030 WBZ, Sports “98.5 The Sports Hub” WBZ-FM, Classic Rock 100.7 WZLX and Entercom’s Talk 680 WRKO and Urban AC “The New 97.7” WKAF. Elroy Smith Names KBLX/KRBQ San Francisco OM/PD

Entercom has announced the hiring of Elroy Smith as Operations Manager/Program Director of Classic Hip-Hop “Q102.1” KRBQ and Urban AC 102.9 KBLX San Francisco. Smith joins Entercom San Francisco from SummitMedia’s Greenville/Spartanburg cluster where he has served as OM since last March after walking away from a $4.6 million purchase of a Chicago translator in 2014. He replaces Stacy Cunningham as OM and PD of KBLX and Trevor Simpson as PD of KRBQ who both have been let go. Entercom San Francisco Trio To Air Oakland Raiders Games

The Oakland Raiders have extended their agreement with Entercom San Francisco to broadcast their games and ancillary programming. After three years on Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco, this year the game broadcasts will also be heard on Urban AC 102.9 KBLX San Francisco and Classic Rock “98.5 K-Fox” KUFX San Jose. All ancillary programming will remain on KGMZ including a two hour pre-game show and one hour post-game. Entercom Acquires KBLX San Francisco

After being rumored for a few weeks, Entercom has announced its purchase of Urban AC 102.9 KBLX San Francisco from the creditors of Inner City Broadcasting for $25 Million. Entercom will begin programming the station via a Time Brokerage Agreement as soon as it is approved by the Bankruptcy Court handling Inner City’s bankruptcy proceeding. The company plans on retaining the current format of the station. The sale comes after the remainder of Inner City’s stations were sold to the Magic Johnson led YMF Media for $180 Million.
