Cumulus’ NASH brand has reached an important milestone as JVC Broadcasting’s “103.1 The Wolf” WOTW Orlando will become the first non-Cumulus affiliate for “America’s Morning Show“. JVC Media Country “103.1 The Wolf” WOTW Windermere/Orlando has dropped Bubba The Love Sponge from mornings after just two months. Bubba debuted on WOTW a month after the station’s launch in December allowing him to first focus on his new Tampa flagship. JVC had added the show based on the success pairing it with Country at their “My Country 102.3” WTRS-FM Ocala. JVC has officially announced that 103.1 WOTW will launch as Country “103.1 The Wolf” at 1:03pm. In addition to the previous staffing announcements, the station will pluck the syndicated Bubba The Love Sponge for mornings from “CBS Sports 810/93.1” WRSO Orlo Vista. JVC Media Acquires KQ103 Orlando

Update 9/9: The sale has been filed with the FCC showing JVC Media is paying $10 million for WHKQ. Original Report 9/5: JVC Media continues its growth in Florida with the purchase of Spanish CHR “KQ 103.1” WHKQ Windermere/Orlando from TTB Media for an undisclosed price. The station will be JVC’s first in Orlando. The company currently owns four stations each in Long Island, NY and Gainesville/Ocala and will soon close on two purchases in West Palm Beach. TTB Media had acquired then Smooth Jazz WLOQ in 2011 for $8 million and flipped the station to its current format.

103.1 WLOQ Orlando Sold; Now Stunting With Elvis

Update 8/3: As expected, 103.1 will flip to Spanish CHR “KQ 103” at 9pm tonight. The station will launch with 20,000 songs in a row. New WHKQ calls are in place as well. Update 8/1: 103.1 WLOQ dropped its Smooth Jazz format at 12am and began stunting with all Elvis Presley music as “Elvis 103.1“. The signs point to a Spanish CHR direction. KQ103.com was registered by one of the members of the new ownership group. The logo on what appears to be the new Facebook page for the station is identical to that of “KQ 105” WKAQ-FM San Juan, PR.
