Days after Univision Classic Hip-Hop “Yo 95.1” KMYO and iHeartMedia Rhythmic Hot AC “Hot 104.5” both flipped out of their formats, Alpha Media has brought the format back as it flips Alternative “103.3 The App” K277CX Terrell Hills/KTFM-HD2 to “G103.3“. “San Antonio’s Throwback Station” launched at 5pm local time with Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize”. KMYO and KZEP each had a 2.2 share in the March 2017 Nielsen Audio ratings, while the Alternative format registered a 0.8 share.

Alpha Media has appointed James Steele as Program Director at Alternative “103.3 The App” K277CX Terrell Wells/KTFM-HD2 Floresville/San Antonio TX. Alpha Media has launched Alternative “103.3 The App” K277CX Terrell Wells/94.1 KTFM-HD2 Floresville, TX. Launching with 10000 songs commercial-free, the move brings the Alternative format to San Antonio for the first time ever. Alpha Acquires Three San Antonio Translators

Alpha Media has agreed to purchase three translators in the San Antonio market for a combined $1,452,500. For $412,500, Alpha acquires 94.7 K234CI Marion, TX from Frank McCoy. K234CI holds a CP to relocate to San Antonio with 250 watts at 126 meters (Coverage Map). Alpha intends on changing the originating station from Salem’s 630 KSLR to their Sports “ESPN 1250” KZDC. For $430,000, Alpha will purchase the CP of 103.3 K277CX Terrell Wells, TX from San Antonio Radioworks. Currently licensed with 185 watts at 178 meters (Coverage Map), Alpha intends to change the originating station from 1480 KCHL to CHR 94.1 KTFM. $610,000 brings 107.1 K296GK Pleasanton, TX from Wildcatter Wireless.
