Cox Media Group has tweaked Classic Rock “Rock 103” KJSR Tulsa to “103.3 The Eagle“. The move was accompanied by the dismissal of the Billy Madison show from mornings. Madison, based at sister Classic Rock 99.5 KISS San Antonio, will continue to be heard there and on his other syndicated affiliates. KJSR recorded a 3.5 share in the Fall Phase 2 Nielsen Audio Trends, well behind the 5.4 of Clear Channel’s 97.5 KMOD.
Update 10/9: “Star 103” KJSR will relaunch as “Rock 103 Tulsa” at 12am tonight with the Billy Madison Show debuting in the morning. “Rock 103” will remain Classic Rock albeit shifting from a 70s focus to a 80s center with 90s tracks added similar to the changes made last month at sister 96.5 WKLR Richmond.
