John Peake Named KOST/KBIG Program Director

iHeartMedia has announced that John Peake has been named Program Director for AC 103.5 KOST and Hot AC “104.3 My-FM” KBIG Los Angeles. Peake joins the stations from iHeart’s San Diego/Riverside region where he was Senior Vice President of Programming. He has also served as VP/Programming in Seattle and Show Director for the syndicated John Jay & Rich morning show during his time with the company. Prior to joining iHeart, Peake programmed Dance “Energy 92.7” KNGY and Hot AC “Alice 97.3” KLLC San Francisco, CHR “NRJ” in Paris, and 104.1 KRBE Houston. Juan Alberto Ayala is yet again attempting to modify 93.5 W228DF Four Corners FL without the approval of the station he claims will be rebroadcasting. In February we reported Ayala had withdrawn applications for W228DF after 88.3 WPOZ President James Hoge and CBS Radio Orlando Director of Engineering Matthew Agnesi called out W228DF for neither of its filed applications having written permission from those companies to rebroadcast their stations as legally mandated. Since then Ayala filed two additional applications. One specified iHeartMedia's 107.7 WMGF Mount Dora as originating station which was dismissed for yet again not gaining their permission and the second selected JVC Media's 103.1 WOTW Windermere. Ellen K Moves From KIIS To KOST

After over twenty five years in mornings at iHeartMedia CHR 102.7 KIIS-FM Los Angeles, Ellen K is moving down the hall to AC 103.5 KOST. On October 19, KOST will debut the “The Ellen K Morning Show” as Mark Wallengren moves to afternoons after 30 years in mornings at the station. Ellen has been with KIIS since 1990 as part of Rick Dees and Ryan Seacrest’s morning shows. Wallengren’s move to afternoons lead to the exit of Bruce Scott from KOST.
