Station Sales The deal announced in February where Colonial Media & Entertainment announced the acquisitions of Sports “ESPN 100.1” 1230 WFAY Fayetteville, Rock/Sports “92.5 FBX” 1450 WFBX Spring Lake NC, Gospel “Rejoice 1200” WMIR Atlantic Beach/Myrtle Beach SC and four translators from subsidiaries of Astrakel International has been filed with the FCC. Colonial will be paying $777,641 for the assets. Original Report 2/13: 1510 KOAZ Isleta, NM is stunting with a loop of nature sounds and promos for a new format debuting at 12pm on Valentines Day. The station is promoting a unique format mix of Contemporary Jazz, Chill, Latin Guitar, and World Music as “103.7 The Oasis” simulcast on K279BP Albuquerque. Translator Report 1/17: WFLA To Get FM Signal

Another Clear Channel AM News/Talk is making the move to FM via translator. Radio Training Network’s 95.3 W237DI West Tampa, FL has applied to move to 105.9 with a power boost from 115 to 250 watts at 456 feet. The application also shifts the originating programming station to Clear Channel’s 970 WFLA. The EMF/Clear Channel duo are working on an additional move-in in Cincinnati. 96.9 W245AJ Forest Park, OH has applied to move to downtown Cincinnati where it will rebroadcast Clear Channel’s WKFS-HD2. It’s not every day that you see a full powered station traded for a translator. Cumulus and EMF Broadcasting made such a deal this week with Cumulus sending Oldies 102.3 WFVL-FM Lumberton, NC to EMF for 100.7 K264AS Mooringsport, LA. The translator, which serves the Shreveport market has a construction permit to move to downtown Shreveport with 250 watts. Following the FCC decision to force “104.7 The Oasis” W284BQ Detroit off the air until it can find a new frequency, Radio Power Inc. has applied to move the translator to 93.5 where it will operate with 99 watts. Radio Power has also purchased 97.5 W248AQ Harrison, MI from Radio Assist Ministry for $32,000. That translator has applied to move to downtown Detroit with 250 watts on 107.1.
