Launching as “Santa 104.1“, the new Educational Media Foundation owned translator is being operated by iHeart via its 98.1 KISQ-HD2 San Francisco and is running commercial-free through the holidays. K281BU operates with 80w/389m from the tower of 93.3 KRZZ on San Bruno Mountain and basically covers just the city of San Francisco.

EMF has applied to relocate Christian AC “K-Love” 107.3 KLVS Livermore from 8.1kW at 491 meters to 880 watts at 894 meters while moving 7 miles closer to the San Francisco Bay. EMF also has Construction Permits for on-channel boosters operating with 320 watts in Oakland, 5kW in Hayward, and 1kW in Concord.
