Adams Radio Group has launched Oldies “Kool Oldies 104.3/105.1” in Salisbury/Ocean City MD. Airing on 104.3 W282AW Salisbury and 105.1 W286BB Ocean City via 103.9 WOCQ-HD2 Berlin, the new format goes up against Delmarva Broadcasting’s “97.1 The Wave” WAVD Ocean Pines. The station launched as part of an April Fools Day promotion at the Salisbury Zoo where a giant stuffed penguin hatched from an egg. Station Sales Gregory Shinn’s Central Arkansas Radio Group is buying Noalmark Broadcasting’s Hot Springs AR cluster for $1.6 million. The stations involved are Rock simulcast “Real Rock 93.5” KYRC Bismarck/101.5 KHRK Malvern, CHR 105.9 KLAZ Hot Springs, and Southern Gospel 1420 KBHS/105.5 K288FP Hot Springs. Noalmark retains its clusters in El Dorado and Magnolia AR and Hobbs and Roswell NM.
