iHeartMedia has announced they have signed Woody Fife to a five year contract extension and will expand “The Woody Show” into syndication. The Woody Show joined iHeartMedia’s “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles in April 2014 and was syndicated to “Alt 104.9” KLLT Columbia IL/St. Louis last October. The new format debuted as the first syndicated affiliate for The Woody Show based at “Alt 98.7” KYSR Los Angeles. Prior to joining KYSR in 2014, Woody co-hosted mornings in St. Louis at Emmis Alternative “105.7 The Point” KPNT. Former co-host Scott Rizutto remained with KPNT and continues to host mornings there. Clear Channel Performs Double Flip In St. Louis

Clear Channel is moving and shaking again in St. Louis. Urban AC “Majic 104.9” KMJM moved without notice at 9am to 100.3 displacing Classic Rock “100.3 The Brew” KBWX. Replacing it on 104.9 is a new Rhythmic CHR “Wild 104.9“. The Classic Rock format on 100.3 lasted just over five months from its launch on May 23. The move restores the Urban AC/Rhythmic combo that Clear Channel had in the market until 2009, when Urban “100.3 The Beat” began cycling through a series of short lived formats.
