Todd Robinson’s KZLZ Inc. sells Classic Country 1250 KHIL and 98.1 K251CG Willcox AZ to John Oberreuter and Mark Lucke for $150,000. Lucke, who serves as Station Manager for KHIL and current sister Variety Hits “X-Wave 104.9” KWCX-FM will continue to operate KWCX-FM until that station completes its move to Tanque Verde in the Phoenix market. In a deal buried in a settlement agreement earlier this month, Viva Media LLC will convert their Time Brokerage of Caroline Smith’s Norteno 105.1 KAMT Channing/Amarillo TX to a purchase for $351,000 minus a $100,000 TBA payment. Christian Broadcasting of Greenwood sells CHR “Hot 1240” WGRM and Urban Oldies “Blazin 93.9” WGRM-FM Greenwood MS to Donald Pugh’s Eternity Media Group for $105,000. Snake River Radio purchases Christian Talk 1490 KRTK Chubbuck/Pocatello ID from Inspirational Family Radio for $20,000. Humboldt State University acquires Hot AC “95.5 The Bay” KBAE Trinidad/Eureka CA from Airen Broadcasting Company for $70,000. The university has begun operating the station via LMA and has flipped the station to Spanish Public News/Talk “Radio Bilingue“. John Higgs is buying out the 75% of Broadcast South and its eight stations and one translator in south central Georgia that he doesn’t own for $1.05 million. Tejas Broadcasting Sells Two In Amarillo

A number of changes are taking place in Amarillo TX as Tejas Broadcasting announces the sale of two stations. Tejas sells Hot AC “Fun 99.7” KBXD Amarillo to Grace Community Church of Amarillo for $400,000. Grace owns Christian AC “Radio By Grace” KRBG Umbarger and a network of translators in the Texas Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico. Meanwhile Regional Mexican “La Caliente 104.3” KQFX Borger goes to Viva Media for $650,000. As mentioned below the previous format has moved to 1310 KZIP Amarillo as Viva has begun operating the station with a “Wheel of Formats” stunt.
