People Moves 7/23: Lineup Changes Across New York City

Following the relaunch of 102.7 WNEW New York last week, pieces of the on-air puzzle have begun to be revealed. Social media posting indicate that Karen Carson remains in mornings solo following the exit of co-host Jeffrey Jameson with the format change. Midday host Christine Richie has moved to nights from 7pm-12am. Mike Adam remains in afternoons from 3-7pm. Former night host Cane Peterson is moving across the hall to mornings at Alternative “Alt 92.3” WNYL. The move marks a return to the 92.3 frequency as he previous hosted nights and afternoons at the station during its “K-Rock” heyday along with Lee ‘Crazie Cabbie’ Mroszak. Rick Party Departs Hot 105 Miami

Along with the departure of afternoon host Felisha Monet from Cox Media Group Urban “99 Jamz” WEDR Miami, Rick Party has exited the same daypart at sister Urban AC “Hot 105” WHQT. Party joined WHQT for afternoons in 2013 and was later joined by Benji Brown. When the station picked up the relaunched Michael Baisden in February 2017 the duo moved to 12-3pm and then returned to afternoons at the start of 2018. Brown will remain in afternoon solo as Party states he was unable to come to terms on a new contract. Cox Media Group has made a pair of promotions at its Miami cluster. Jill Strada rises from Director of Branding and Programming at CHR “Hits 97.3” WFLC and Urban “99 Jams” 99.1 WEDR to Director of Operations adding oversight of all programming marketing, promotions, and digital content at those two stations plus Soft AC “Easy 93.1” WFEZ and Urban AC “Hot 105” 105.1 WHQT. Strada joined WFLC as programmer in 2014 and added duties at WEDR the following year. Michael Baisden Added By Hot 105 Miami

Cox Media Group Urban AC “Hot 105” WHQT Miami is picking up the relaunched Michael Baisden show for afternoons starting Monday, February 20. Baisden previously aired on WHQT during his previous syndicated run from 2007 to 2013. To make room for the show, midday host James T will condense his show to 9am-12pm, while afternoon hosts Rick Party and Benji Brown move to 12-3pm. Cox Media Group (CMG) Miami Radio has announced Michael Baisden as its new afternoon drive host on Hot 105, effective Feb. 20, 2017.
