People Moves 2/6: Jeff Detrow & CJ Lusk Make Moves To Christian Radio

Educational Media Foundation’s “K-Love” launched a new on-air lineup in January. The morning show hosted by Skip Mahaffey and Amy Baumann remains in place from 6-11am eastern/3-8am pacific. Afternoon host Scott Smith moves to middays to reteam with Kelli Caldwell in the 11am-4pm/8am-1pm slot replacing Mike Kankelfritz who left in November. Longtime San Diego morning host Jeff Detrow of “Jeff & Jer” fame has joined as co-host of the 4-9pm/1-6pm afternoon show. Detrow will be paired with former night host Randi Tyler, while Larry Wayne takes the 9pm-3am/6pm-12am slot. Power 105.1 New York Fills APD & MD Openings

iHeartMedia Urban “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM New York has promoted from within to fill its Assistant Program Director and Music Director openings. Eddie Fennell, executive producer of WWPR’s Breakfast Club morning show has been tabbed to fill the APD opening. Fennel previously served as APD for iHeartMedia Urban “Power 99” 98.9 WUSL and Urban AC 105.3 WDAS-FM Philadelphia. Midday host DJ Prostyle will add the Music Director duties. Prostyle has hosted middays at WWPR since 2011 and previously worked at Cox Media Rhythmic CHR “Power 95.3” WPYO Orlando. Clear Channel Begins Breakfast Club Syndication Rollout

As we reported earlier this week, Clear Channel Rhythmic CHR “Hot 98.3” KOHT Tucson will be picking up “The Breakfast Club” from “Power 105.1” WWPR-FM New York for mornings beginning Monday, August 26. KOHT will not be alone as the program is also adding affiliates in Milwaukee, Norfolk and Birmingham. The program began airing this week on “V100” 100.7 WKKV Milwaukee in place of Steve Harvey. It’ll debut on the 26th on “104.1 The Beat” W281AB Birmingham and “103 Jamz” WOWI Norfolk. “The Breakfast Club” features DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God.
