Classic Hits “Guess-FM“, which had been airing on 830 WUMY Memphis, 1180 WGUE Turrell AR, 99.3 W257CY Memphis, 100.1 W261CS Southaven MS, and 105.5 W288BJ Memphis TN moved last week to Flinn Broadcasting’s 1430 WOWW Germantown/97.7 W249BN Memphis. Mighty Media Group Classic Hits “99.3 Guess-FM” 830 WGUE/99.3 W257CY Memphis has expanded to three additional frequencies. Classic Country “Big Country” 1180 WUMY Turrell/100.1 W261CE Southaven, MS/105.5 W288BJ Memphis dropped its format on April 1 to begin simulcasting WGUE. The station is pushing that the addition of the two additional translators allows them to reach the bulk of the Memphis market as 99.3 covers the eastern side of Memphis, 100.1 the southern end, and 105.5 downtown. Additionally, former 94.1 WKQK morning host Steve Conley has joined “Guess-FM” for afternoons.
Update 3/4: Mighty Media Group has launched Classic Country “Y105.5” on 830 WUMY/105.5 W288BJ Memphis. The station has launched with 11,055 songs in a row commercial-free. The station forms a pairing with sister Country “Rebel 95.3” WEBL against Cumulus’ “Kix 106” 105.9 WGKX.
