Kevin Frandsen & Drew Hoffar Move To KNBR Nights

After cutting their morning show and all other local programming on “KNBR 1050” KTCT San Francisco, Cumulus Media is moving Kevin Frandsen and Drew Hoffar to nights at 680 KNBR starting August 14. The duo will host “KNBR Tonight” from 7-10pm or after San Francisco Giants games replacing Ray Woodson, who exited along with the KTCT changes at the end of July. San Jose native Frandsen spent a decade in the major leagues including two tours with the local Giants. Lee Hammer & Jeremiah Crowe Rise At KNBR/KTCT

Cumulus Media has announced a pair of management promotions at Sports 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT San Francisco. Lee Hammer, Program Director of KNBR since 2005 and KTCT from 1998-2016, has been promoted the the newly created role of Vice President of Sports Play-by-Play Programming for Cumulus San Francisco overseeing all San Francisco Giants and 49ers broadcasts. Concurrently, Jeremiah Crowe who joined Cumulus last year as KTCT PD and KNBR Assistant Program Director, will take the programming reigns at KNBR. KTCT San Francisco Adds Local Morning Show

Cumulus Sports “KNBR 1050” KTCT San Francisco is adding a local morning show as it revamps the station as a younger alternative to sister 680 KNBR. “The Audible” will air from 6-9am starting August 8 and will be hosted by Kevin Frandsen, Drew Hoffar and Rudy Ortiz. Frandsen is a San Jose native who retired from Major League Baseball after the 2015 season following a ten year pitching career. Hoffar most recently served as co-host of the Don Geronimo Show at both KHTK Sacramento and in its subscription podcast form. Jeremiah Crowe Jumps To KTCT San Francisco As PD/KNBR APD

For the second time in a week, Cumulus has raided the staff of Entercom Sports “95.7 The Game” KGMZ San Francisco to jump to their duo of 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT San Francisco. Jeremiah Crowe will leave his role as Assistant Program Director at KGMZ to become PD of “1050 KNBR” KTCT and APD of 680 KNBR. Prior to joining KGMZ, Crowe worked as a producer for ESPN Radio. In the press release, OM/680 PD Lee Hammer states that a relaunch of the 1050 signal is forthcoming. KTCT currently features CBS Sports Radio programming from 6am-12pm, a local midday show hosted by Ted Ramey, a simulcast of KNBR’s afternoon show, and then CBS and NBC Sports Radio programming at night. Cumulus Continues Shake Up Of San Francisco Management

On the heels of the hiring of Bill Pugh as OM of AAA 104.5 KFOG/97.7 KFFG and Classic Rock “107.7 The Bone” KSAN and PD of KFOG, Cumulus Media has continued the restructuring of its San Francisco market management staff with two additional appointments today. Steven Sklenar joins the company as Market Manager overseeing the aforementioned KFOG/KFFG, KSAN, as well as Conservative Talk 560 KSFO, News/Talk 810 KGO, and Sports duo 680 KNBR and 1050 KTCT. Additionally, Kevin Crespo joins Cumulus in the role of National/Regional Sales Manager for the cluster. Cumulus SVP Gary Pizzati had been serving as interim Market Manager.
