FM Changes A pair of Boise market stations are on the move. Radio Rancho’s Regional Mexican “106.3 La Gran D” KDBI Homedale ID is applying to move to 106.5 with no changes to its 100kW/313m facilities. KDBI seeks a waiver in making the move in that it believes it would better serve the public interest being third adjacent to both Townsquare Media’s 105.9 KCIX Boise and Scripps’ 107.1 KTHI Caldwell than being second adjacent to KCIX. Impact Radio Rhythmic CHR “Wild 101.1” KWYD Parma applies for a new tower site closer to the population center while downgrading from a Class C0 to C1 with 100kW/194m. KSE Radio Ventures Classic Hits “Kool 105.1” KXKL-FM Denver applies to move to the new tower of sister 100.3 KIMN. KXKL-FM will downgrade fro...[Read More]

Another station is on the move in Boise. As Country “100.7 The Bull” KQBL prepares to relocate to 101.9 in Mid-February, JLD Media has cleared an opening by moving Regional Mexican “101.9 La Gran D” KDBI Emmett to 106.3 Homedale. That move eliminates Spanish AC “Latino 106.3” KQTA. With the KDBI call letters moved to the 106.3 allocation, 101.9 has temporarily claimed the KPDA call letters that belonged to 100.7 during a previous format. That Regional Mexican “La Poderosa” brand appears to be on its way back to Boise and 100.7 as JLD Media registered LaPoderosaIdaho.com concurrently with LaGranD1063.com.
Adelante Media Group is selling its two Boise area stations to Kevin Terry’s JLD Media for $850,000. JLD will begin operating Regional Mexican “101.9 La Gran D” KDBI Emmett and Spanish CHR “Latino 106.3” KQTA Homedale, ID via LMA on December 1. Kevin Terry owns ten stations and ten translators in Montana operating as Montana Radio Company. Adelante Media has now sold off fifteen of its radio stations and one of its television stations in the past six weeks. Lazer Broadcasting acquired its Sacramento and Modesto stations for $2.9 million, while Bustos Media purchased its nine Washington state stations for $6 million. Adelante Media still has clusters of 1 FM and 1 TV in Milwaukee and 1 AM, 2 FMs, and 1 TV in Salt Lake City.
