Jennifer Seelig Rises To KCBS Director of News/Programming

Entercom News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC San Francisco has promoted Jennifer Seelig to Director of News and Programming. Seelig has worked at KCBS since 2001 and most recently served as Assistant News Director. She previously worked in television at KGO-TV and KRON San Francisco and KOVR Sacramento. John Madden Returns To KCBS

Longtime NFL coach and analyst John Madden is resuming his twice-weekly football analysis and commentaries on CBS News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC San Francisco. Madden had been heard on KCBS from 1997 until health issues led to his exit in November 2015. His commentaries will be heard live on KCBS/KFRC at 9:15am on Mondays and Fridays and be shared as a podcast on Radio.com. Jack Swanson Named KCBS Director of News and Programming

Former KGO/KSFO San Francisco Program Director Jack Swanson is returning to the market as the new Director of News & Programming for CBS’ News 740 KCBS/106.9 KFRC. Swanson spent much of his radio career programming the Talk combo of 560 KSFO and 810 KGO under ABC and Citadel ownership. He takes over the position vacated by the February retirement of Ed Cavagnaro. Cavagnaro worked at KCBS for 37 years and programmed the station from 1988 until this year. KCBS San Francisco To Add FM Simulcast

CBS Radio has announced that All-News 740 KCBS San Francisco will begin simulcasting on sister Classic Hits 106.9 KFRC on Monday, October 27 at 7:40am. The entire KFRC staff has been let go, but the format will continue on 106.9-HD2. 106.9 will retain the KFRC call letters as KCBS-FM is used by sister “93.1 Jack-FM” in Los Angeles.

Entercom seems to think so. The owners of AC 96.5 KOIT, the #1 FM in the market have registered a number of domains connected to CBS owned frequencies in the market. Fresh997fm.com points to Rhythmic AC KMVQ “Movin 99.7” at 22nd with a 1.4 in the summer book. Infinity To Launch Network Of FM Talkers Using FreeFM Brand

With all the hoopla surrounding the departure of Howard Stern to Sirius at the end of the year, many radio industry pundits have wondered what Infinity Broadcasting has planned to replace Stern. The pieces have been slowly coming together.
