Cumulus Media has made a pair of programming appointments in its Kansas City cluster. Mike O’Reilly, Program Director/Afternoon Host of CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Ottawa KS will add programming duties at Alternative “X105.1” KCJK Garden City. Concurrently, former “105.1 The Bounce” WMGC Detroit Program Director Al Payne will join the company to program Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK Garden City. Kenny joins Cumulus from Kennelwood Radio Urban “94.5 The Beat” KWBT Waco TX where he served as VP/Programming for the past four months. After 16 years with Cumulus Media, Maurcie DeVoe is exiting the company to join iHeartMedia as Program Director of Urban “100.3 The Beat” KMJM-FM Bridgeton MO/St. Louis. DeVoe comes from Cumulus Kansas City where he was PD/midday host at Urban AC “Majik 107.3” KMJK North Kansas City and Corporate PD for Urban and Rhythmic formats. During his tenure with Cumulus, he also programmed CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ Kansas City and “i93.3” KLIF-FM Dallas and Operations Manager for the Kansas City cluster. Cumulus Makes Lineup Changes At Three Kansas City Stations

Cumulus Media has announced new on-air lineups for three of its Kansas City stations. Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK North Kansas City has replaced the syndicated Tom Joyner morning show with Steve Harvey. Classic Hits 94.9 KCMO-FM Shawnee places Operations Manager Lance Tidwell in middays replacing Renee Drake, who remains morning co-host. Steve-O joins the station for afternoons from sister Variety Hits “102.5 Jack-FM” K273BZ/KCJK-HD2. News/Talk 710 KCMO/103.7 K279BI rolls out a more locally based lineup. Greg Knapp returns to the station for mornings from 6-9am replacing Rob Carson. Tom Becka remains in the 9-11am slot, while the newly syndicated Chris Plante is added from 11am-1pm. Cumulus Reacquires Kansas City Pair

Cumulus Media has agreed to repurchase CHR “95.7 The Vibe” KCHZ and Urban AC “Magic 107.3” KMJK Kansas City from AR Holdings for $16.75 Million. The stations, along with a pair in Houston that have since been sold off to new owners, were transferred to AR Holdings in December 2011 as part of a prepackaged backruptcy to clear debt ahead of the Cumulus purchase of Citadel Media. Cumulus has continued to program the stations while in AR’s possession. Additionally, KCHZ has named Jeff Andrews as PD/Afternoon host. Andrews, most recently was APD of 94.7 WLS-FM Chicago and Corporate PD for many of Cumulus’ CHR stations nationwide. He will retain the corporate duties with the move to Kansas City.
