NRG Media flipped Sports “ESPN 1330” KWLO Waterloo, IA to CHR “107.3 The Party” at midnight Sunday. Utilizing its new 107.3 K297BS Waterloo translator, the 250 watt at 111 meter signal covers all of greater Waterloo and Cedar Falls (Coverage Map). The new format gives a CHR competitor to Cedar Rapids Divestiture Trust’s “Q92.3” KKHQ. The new station is being overseen by veteran programmer and manager Jack Taddeo, who is GM for all of the NRG Waterloo cluster. NRG Media acquired its Waterloo cluster last August from Woodward Communications. “The Party” joins Classic Hits 105.7 KOKZ, Active Rock “Rock 108” 107.9 KFMW and News/Talk 1540 KXEL.
