Dave & Mahoney Return To X107.5 Las Vegas

After leaving CBS Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX Houston, Dave Farra and Jason Mahoney are returning to sister Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Pahrump/Las Vegas. Farra, Mahoney, and Daena “DK” Kramer left KXTE for KHMX in September 2015 after six years at the station. Kramer will not remain with the show when it returns to Las Vegas on February 6. Farra and Mahoney will supplant Marc ‘Marco’ Orem in mornings at KXTE. Orem joined KXTE in February 2016 along with Joe ‘Jeetz’ Reeder. WQYK Adds To Morning Show

Beasley Country 99.5 WQYK Tampa has added Marc Jason to its morning show. Jason joins the station from CBS Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Las Vegas where he was hosting mornings as “Marco”. He has previously worked at Cumulus Hot AC “Mix 107.3” WRQX as well as stations in Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Nashville. Jeetz Joins Rock 98.9 Seattle For Afternoons

Hubbard’s “Rock 98.9” KVRQ Seattle has named Joe ‘Jeetz’ Reder as its new afternoon host. Jeetz returns to Seattle from CBS Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Las Vegas, where he began co-hosting mornings with Marco Orem since earlier this year. Prior to leaving for Las Vegas, Reder spent 8.5 years at Entercom Rock 99.9 KISW Seattle and later returned to co-host mornings Rhythmic Hot AC “Hot 103.7” KHTP. He has also programmed “94.7 The End” KZND Anchorage AK in between his first two Seattle stints.

Ross Mahoney Named PD/Afternoon Host At X107.5 Las Vegas

CBS Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Pahrump/Las Vegas has hired Ross Mahoney as Program Director and afternoon host. Mahoney joins from Sunrise Broadcasting’s “Modern Rock 98.7” WRMR Wilmington NC where he was PD. The majority of his radio career was spent at CBS’ now-defunct Alternative “103.1 The Buzz” WPBZ West Palm Beach where he moved up from intern to eventually becoming APD/MD/Afternoon host. He also programmed the interim “Smooth 104.3” WMSF as that station was moved from West Palm Beach to the Miami market. Mahoney fills the departures of two staffers to CBS Houston over the past year. Mix 96.5 Houston Sets New On-Air Lineup

CBS Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX Houston has announced its new on-air lineup. Chris Jackson is joining KHMX as APD/MD/Midday host from sister Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Las Vegas where he held identical duties. Jackson continues the shift of talent from KXTE to KHMX under Program Director Charese Fruge, who previously oversaw the Las Vegas station before moving to KHMX in April 2015. Dave, Mahoney & DK Shift From X107.5 Las Vegas To Mix 96.5 Houston

CBS Radio is moving the Dave, Mahoney and DK morning show from Alternative “X107.5” KXTE Pahrump/Las Vegas to Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX Houston. The trio will make their Houston debut on Monday, September 14 as part of the station’s 25th anniversary celebration. They replace Atom Smasher and Shawnda McNeal who were let go at the end of June. Dave, Mahoney and DK spent the last six years at KXTE where they worked under Charese Fruge. Fruge transferred from VP/Programming of CBS Las Vegas to similar duties at Houston earlier this year. Charese Fruge Promoted To VP/Programming CBS Radio Houston; Cat Thomas Takes Over Las Vegas

CBS Radio is transferring its Las Vegas VP/Programming Charese Fruge to Houston where she will serve as Vice President of Programming and Operations Manager for the company’s six stations in the markets as well as Program Director of CHR “Hot 95.7” KKHH and Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX effective Monday, May 4. Fruge joined CBS Radio in 2009 as PD of Hot AC “Mix 94.1” KMXB Las Vegas and has since taken on oversight of Alternative “X107.5” KXTE as well. While many companies have given up on launching unique programming on HD subchannels, CBS Radio has launched two new subchannels this week. 104.3 WOMC-HD3 Detroit is now “The Blvd. Detroit” replacing Psychic Talk “The Sky“. The new format focuses on musicians from Detroit including current bands like Mayor Hawthorn, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., The Ready Set, Blue October, Mike Posner as well as Kid Rock, Eminem, Madonna, Jack White, Marvin Gaye, and new unsigned artists.
