Mikey Adams Heads To Binnie’s Frank-FM Trio

Former 93.7 WEEI-FM Boston night host Mikey Adams is joining Binnie Media’s trio of “Frank-FM” branded Classic Hits stations. Adams will host afternoons at 106.3 WFNQ Nashua NH, 105.5 WBYA Islesboro ME, and 107.5 WFNK Lewiston/Portland starting in October. Unlike his previous spot at WEEI, the show will stretch beyond Sports to include “events of the day, creative bits, music, and interaction with listeners”. Update 6/14: Two of the stations that Jeff Shapiro’s Vertical Captial Partners acquired the rights to will be spun off to a third party to keep Shapiro under FCC ownership limits. “101.5 The Fox” WEXP Brandon and “Oldies 104.3” WWOD Hartford, VT will be sold William and Gail Goddard’s Electromagnetic Company. Both WEXP and WWOD have simulcasts that will be staying with Vertical Capital so we will need to wait to see what happens with the programming at the pair.
